(Servicios Informativos AOL Latino).- El precandidato demócrata a la presidencia Barack Obama planea anunciar su victoria frente a su enconada rival en la interna Hillary Clinton, al cierre de los comicios en Kentucky y Oregon, informó la prensa estadounidense.

Según la versión del sitio de Internet Politico.com, el senador por Illinois de 46 años se declarará vencedor inmediatamente después del cierre de las urnas en los estados citados que el martes 20 realizarán sus primarias.

Barack Obama admitió que podría pedir que Hillary Clinton sea su compañera de fórmula como candidata a la vicepresidencia de Estados Unidos.

"No hay dudas de que está calificada para ser vice presidenta. No hay dudas de que está calificada para ser presidenta", señaló el senador del estado de Illinois a la cadena de televisión NBC.

Obama tomó una delantera virtualmente insuperable luego de las primarias de Indiana y Carolina del Norte el martes pasado, pero Clinton ha rechazado las exhortaciones a retirar sus aspiraciones.

Terry McAuliffe, quien dirige su campaña, reveló hoy a la misma cadena de televisión que si el resultado se mantiene incierto a finales de junio la senadora por Nueva York podría abandonar la lucha y dar su apoyo a Obama.

Poco antes, en una entrevista para la cadena de televisión CNN, Obama señaló que si logra la candidatura demócrata de inmediato iniciará el proceso de selección de un candidato a la vice presidencia.

"Evidentemente (Hillary Clinton) estaría en cualquier lista. Es incansable, es inteligente, es capaz", dijo Obama.

Cualquiera de los dos aspirantes que gane la candidatura tendrá que enfrentar al senador John McCain, el candidato del Partido Republicano en las elecciones de noviembre.
