Cuba: esposo de bloguera pide 'duelo verbal' a supuesto agresor

LA HABANA (AP) - El disidente Reinaldo Escobar, esposo de la bloguera Yoani Sánchez y quien denunció haber sido maltratada de la Seguridad del Estado, retó a duelo "verbal" a un supuesto agresor.

"No lo desafío a liarnos a los puños ni a cruzar sables o pistolas, sino a dialogar", expresó Escobar en su propia bitácora de internet llamada "Desde Aquí" y en una entrada titulada "Reto a duelo (verbal)".

La convocatoria es para el viernes de la próxima semana en una céntrica esquina habanera y aunque fue realizada en su página inmediatamente se replicó en mensajes de textos telefónicos de origen desconocido que llegaron a miembros de la prensa extranjera en la isla.

"Si es hombre cívico... que vaya y que exponga las razones que tuvo para participar en la golpiza de que fue víctima mi esposa", expresó Escobar.

Sánchez denunció la semana pasada que ella y su amigo Orlando Luis Pardo fueron detenidos por agentes cuando se dirigían a una marcha con otros blogueros. Agregó que fue golpeada cuando se negó a abordar un auto.

El Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos en un comunicado "deploró" el incidente y llamó "al gobierno de Cuba a garantizar el respeto pleno a los derechos humanos y las libertades fundamentales de todos sus ciudadanos".

No se produjo ninguna reacción por parte de las autoridades en la isla hasta ahora y no hay forma de corroborar las aseveraciones de Sánchez de que la seguridad del Estado estuvo involucrada, aunque los disidentes suelen alegar ser vigilados por estos.

Sánchez escribe un blog llamado "Generación Y" de fuertes críticas al gobierno. Por la confección de esta bitácora recibió varios premios en España y Estados Unidos, pero las autoridades la acusan de ser un instrumento "creado" por grupos de interés y usado para desprestigiar a la revolución.

Consultado telefónicamente por AP, Escobar confirmó la veracidad de su convocatoria al "duelo verbal". "Es rigurosamente cierto", comentó.

Sin embargo, negó ser el autor de los mensajes telefónicos que llegaron a periodistas con la convocatoria.

"Yo tenía algunas opciones: tirar 2 bombas molotov en el Ministerio del Interior o quedarme callado como un cobarde. Esta (el reto) es la forma más decente" de obtener explicaciones, agregó.

En su página de internet, Escobar incluyó una foto del supuesto atacante y al cual se refirió como alguien que se hace llamar "agente Rodney".

Ningún otro grupo de opositores o activista repudió o se hizo eco del supuesto ataque.

El ex preso político Vladimiro Roca dijo a la AP que en Cuba los blogueros "no tienen impacto" porque "dentro del país porque no hay Internet. Para exterior sí, pero nada más que eso", señaló.

Los balseros cubanos ariesgan sus vidas tratando de llegar a territorio americano, por las misma razones que los mexicanos, haitianos, dominicanos y otros muchos ..por razones economicas " no " politicas " . No sigan jugando con el cuento del comunismo. En Mexico, Haiti y Republica Dominicana hay gobiernos democraticos. Por favor ,usen otras excusas y posiblemente logren convencer algun enfermo mental . senores no nos seguemos con la pasion, a mi hay cosas que no me encajan mucho sobre esta bloguera,tiene demasiada libertad de expresion y como todos sabemos en cuba no existe eso, esta dando muchos escandalos ultimamente, y aqui en miami hemos visto muchas cosas, PRINCCESA tiene mucho sentido lo que dices, seamos cautelosos y no apasionados.
