Fujimori negó haber intentado fusilar a los líderes de Sendero Luminoso

Lima (EFE).- El ex presidente peruano Alberto Fujimori negó haber dispuesto el fusilamiento de los líderes de Sendero Luminoso durante su régimen (1990-2000), como afirmó un ex asesor del Servicio de Inteligencia Nacional (SIN).

"En ningún momento hubo una intención ni decisión de quitar la vida a Abimael Guzmán o algún miembro de la cúpula, lo que se dispuso fue el respeto de la integridad física de ellos conforme a las directivas de mi despacho", señaló Fujimori.

En una breve alocución ante el tribunal que lo juzga por presuntas violaciones a los derechos humanos, el ex gobernante dijo que unos documentos presentados hoy por el ex asesor Rafael Merino Bartet se hicieron como "parte de una operación psicológica" de inteligencia manejada por el SIN.

Fujimori añadió que "todos sus discursos presidenciales fueron redactados y elaborados en Palacio de Gobierno", y que durante su gestión "la presencia del Estado se realizó con obras dispuestas en la sierra y en los pueblos jóvenes".

Merino Bartet declaró hoy ante el tribunal que juzga al ex presidente que este corrigió "de puño y letra" la resolución que autorizaba el fusilamiento de los líderes de Sendero Luminoso.

El ex funcionario mostró ante la Sala un proyecto de decreto ley, un memorando y un comunicado que redactó, con fecha 14 de octubre de 1992, con las "normas de detalle" para la ejecución.

Esa medida iba a aplicarse al fundador de Sendero Luminoso, Abimael Guzmán, a su esposa y principal lugarteniente, Elena Iparraguirre, y al cabecilla Zenón Vargas, dijo.

Enfatizó, además, que los documentos fueron corregidos "de puño y letra" por Fujimori, quien invirtió el orden de los fusilamientos: primero a Vargas, luego a Iparraguirre y finalmente a Guzmán.

"Si ustedes quieren pueden hacer una pericia grafotécnica, pero yo conocía la letra del ingeniero Fujimori, porque también tuve a la mano un texto que él modificó en su presentación en la televisión el 5 de abril", señaló a los jueces.

Merino Bartet comentó, sin embargo, que desconoció las razones por las cuales esas ejecuciones nunca se realizaron.

El ex asesor fue el último testigo del proceso contra Fujimori, que continuará ahora con la presentación de peritos forenses y dos ex integrantes de la Comisión de la Verdad y la Reconciliación.

Según informó a Efe el Poder Judicial peruano, luego se procederá a la lectura de las piezas procesales, la requisitoria oral del fiscal y los alegatos de la defensa.

Una vez concluida la última diligencia pública, los miembros del tribunal tendrán un plazo de cinco días para comunicar la fecha en que dictarán sentencia, lo que se calcula para fines de noviembre próximo. EFE
