Israelíes y palestinos acuerdan nuevo plan negociador

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, EE.UU. (AP) - El presidente George W. Bush anunció que israelíes y palestinos llegaron el martes a un entendimiento para concluir un acuerdo de paz antes de finalizar 2008.

Las negociaciones comenzarán en unas pocas semanas para establecer "un estado palestino democrático que viva paralelamente con Israel en paz y seguridad", indicó el mandatario.

El acuerdo fue logrado tras varias semanas de intensas negociaciones pero no estaba claro hasta que Bush lo anunció en la Academia Naval de Annapolis, sede de la conferencia.

"Hoy, palestinos e israelíes saben que ayudar al otro a lograr sus aspiraciones es la clave para lograr las suyas, y ambas requieren un estado palestino independiente, democrático y viable.

"Dicho estado brindará a los palestinos la posibilidad de vivir en libertad, con un propósito y dignidad. Y dicho estado ayudará a proporcionar a los israelíes algo que han ansiado durante generaciones: vivir en paz con sus vecinos".

El presidente palestino Mahmud Abbas dijo en la conferencia de Annapolis que cualquier acuerdo de paz en el Medio Oriente debería garantizar que los palestinos reciben la parte oriental de Jerusalén como su capital, y pidió además el cese de los asentamientos israelíes en los territorios disputados.

El primer ministro israelí Ehud Olmert dijo a los árabes asistentes a la conferencia que "ha llegado el momento de concluir el boicot y la alienación impuestos al estado de Israel".

Un comunicado conjunto firmado por Bush, Olmert y Abbas prometió iniciar el próximo mes las primeras negociaciones importantes en siete años.

"Estamos decididos a terminar el derramamiento de sangre, el sufrimiento y décadas de conflicto entre nuestros pueblos; iniciar una nueva era de paz basada en la libertad, la seguridad, la justicia, la dignidad, el respeto y el reconocimiento mutuo; propagar una cultura de paz y no violencia; encarar el terrorismo y la incitación, ya sean cometidos por palestinos o israelíes", indicó la declaración.

"Acordamos iniciar de inmediato negociaciones bilaterales de buena fe a fin de lograr un tratado de paz que soluciones todos los hechos pendientes, incluyendo todos los fundamentales sin excepción, tal como fue especificado en acuerdos anteriores", agregó el documento.

"Acordamos participar en negociaciones intensas y continuas y haremos todos los esfuerzos posibles para concluir un acuerdo antes de fines del 2008".

Las primeras negociaciones de paz tendrán lugar el 12 de diciembre, dijo Bush, y continuarán después cada dos semanas.

Bush fue seguido en la tribuna de oradores por Abbas, que pidió a los israelíes que respalden el proceso de paz, por considerar que la guerra y el terrorismo "pertenecen al pasado".

"Ni ustedes ni nosotros debemos implorar la paz ante el otro. Es algo de interés común para ustedes y nosotros", agregó. "La paz y la libertad es un derecho para nosotros igual que la paz y la libertad es un derecho para ustedes y nosotros.

"Ha llegado el momento de que concluya el círculo de sangre, violencia y ocupación. Y ha llegado el momento de que encaremos el futuro juntos con confianza y y esperanza. Ha llegado el momento de que esta torturada tierra que ha sido llamada la tierra del amor y la paz haga honor a su nombre", dijo Abbas.

"Tengo aquí el derecho a defender abierta y sin vacilación alguna el derecho de mi pueblo a ver un nuevo amanecer, sin ocupación, sin asentamientos, sin vallas de separación, sin prisiones con miles de prisioneros, sin asesinatos, sin cercos y sin controles de carreteras en torno a ciudades y aldeas", agregó Abbas.

Todo esto no es mas que palabras al viento, no habra paz ni seguridad porque los palestinos no creen en ella y todos ansian destruir el Estado de Israel y tomar Jerusalem como su capital, esto no es ni mas ni menos que una guerra a muerte y lo que deben hacer los israelitas es no hacer mas concesiones de tierras n i de derechos porque cada vez que hacen alguna concesion es para mal de ellos como por ejemplo, la franja de Gaza, que se la dieron a los palestinos, botaron miserablemente a todos los colonos judios y ahora comprenden el gran error que cometieron, ojala que las experiencias les ensenen algo para el futuro.
