One hour showing of UFO´s in Peru

Admired population went outside to admire the phenomena

LIMA, PERU- People in the southern Peruvian city of Tacna jammed radio broadcasts and emergency phone lines when a pair of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) appeared over the skies of this border city in South America.

The two shiny objects were videotaped flying over the city which is located near the country's southern border with Chile.

One witness called the popular Radioprogramas del Perú (RPP) radio station and said that the UFOs were following an erratic trajectory, describing how the objects in the sky were moving from one side to the other.

People went into the streets and onto balconies to see the phenomena that occurred this Friday, lasting for about an hour over the slied of this city of more than 200,000 people.

An employee at the local airport, Carlos Ciriani, indicated that there were no scheduled flights programmed for that hour of the morning.

The Peruvian Air Force also reported that they didn't have any confirmation of unauthorized flights over the Tacna's skies.

The local weather services said they did not send out any meteorologic globes that morning, devices which are used to measure atmospheric activity.

Some local astronomers explained that the shiny objects could be the planet Jupiter and one of its moons as during this time of the year the planet and its moons are closest to the Sun and Earth.

But for Roosevelt Guillén, a self - proclaimed expert in UFO's this type of phenomena is not the first that is observed on the border between Peru and Chile. He said that normally "you can observe flying oval objects at night that emit an intense orange light".

MYSTERIOUS LINES OF NAZCA

Another of the mysteries of Peru, is the Nazca Lines that are drawings made in the middle of the desert by an ancient civilization. In this graphic is an aerial photo of the famed spiral-tailed monkey.

The Nazca Lines

The Nazca lines are hundreds of individual figures located in the Nazca desert in Peru. The figures are mostly stylized animals, insects, fishing and also geometrical figures.

Some of the figures span for about 600 feet and all of them are in a plateau of about 190 square miles. The desert that serves as canvas is very dry and windless permitted the conservation of these marvelous constructions.

There is great debate about what the lines were done for. Historians think the art have a connection with religious beliefs, others that they served agriculture projects, others that they were the sort of space ship port.

A police man patrol patrols the lines of Nazca. The lines are very shallow and have to be protected for future generations from deforestation and abuse by visitors.

The Nazca figures are in danger from local traffic and erosion. Historians have warned that the figures are in great danger of disappear.

they should be ticketed until they lose their UFO license. They have to park somewhere, we need to find them, maybe put a parking boot on their landing gear. But first the cop`s will have to do that 'get on the ground' thing they like so much. They`re illegal aliens just as much as the earthbound variety. Just because they drive a UFO instead of a lowrider...that`s no reason.
